A littlle work, a little play..

Today, Mya had a good day. Started with a good night's sleep (even though she went to bed at 9:30?!?) We got to go to the play room and paint a picture with some water colors and we even got to have our picture taken by some photographers (for free!) The photos will be sent to our house and we will see if there are any good ones. By the time the photographers came to our room, Mya wasn't in the best of moods. She was excited by the idea of getting her picture taken, but after they set up all their stuff (backdrop, funny little umbrella for the flash; she was definitely over it. Oh well! :)

As for all the chemo stuff, we are on track today. Mya will be given the Cisplatin (sp) the heaviest drug in the treatment cycle tonight. It will run for 6 hours, then post hydration until tomorrow night around 8 pm or so. If all looks good, we will be discharged then. It's a little late, but we will be able to spend the night in our beds. Ray and I both think that is worth getting home a little late.

So, we are coming to the end of Cycle 4. The oncology team is sending us home with a different prescription for an antibiotic. It helps with warding off pnemonia. They think the last one we used delayed her system's recovery. So, the plan this time is to use a different one to see if her system comes back quicker. We will see!

Hopefully, the next time I post we will be home recovering!
