Full Day Yesterday..

Yesterday, I got together with some of my closest friends to celebrate the coming of our 2nd child, Gia. Nothing too big, just a few of us talking and laughing about how many babies are coming and just how much has changed in all of our lives. We were given a changing table (Ray needs one for his back) and a wagon for two among other wonderful and thoughtful gifts.

Afterwards, I got in the car and drove down to Boston to relieve Ray. Got to the hospital around 4:45pm. Mya was really excited to see Mommy! She didn't stop talking for about three hours. We went for a walk, had some orange sherbert (I introduced that to her during our last visit) and watched a lot of SpongeBob! I couldn't get her to sleep until almost 8:30pm. Long day for both of us. She got up at 5am and refused to go back to sleep!

The night was good for her, she seemed to sleep really well considering how many times the nurses come in and how many times Mya's diaper needed changing. They are flooding her system with fluids to help the 1st drug to be flushed from her system.

I didn't sleep that great, but that really is no surprise. I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy so good sleep is REALLY hard to come by.

Today, we hope that Mya will be cleared for the 2nd drug (most likely by this evening). Ray will be down sometime tonight to relieve me because I HAVE to go to work tomorrow. Afterwards, I will go down to let Ray go to work this week. This round comes at a really tough time of timing for both Ray and I at our respective jobs. We both have a lot going on.

Will write again soon to let everyone know how Mya is doing....
