Fundraiser success, homecoming today

posted Jul 1, 2013, 11:53 AM by FightingFor Mya

Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the vendors and people that gave of themselves and their wares for yesterday's successful fundraiser for Mya's Fight. We had a great turn out even with the scorching heat! :) Little Gia and I were there for quite a bit (until after 4pm) and it was wonderful to meet the people who have been so giving and generous to our family. The raffle total was $1,382, we can't wait to see what the grand total will be from all the sales too. Congratulations to all the winners of the raffles, there was some awesome loot up for grabs!

As for today, Mya has been given the green light to come home. Of course, it isn't that simple to getting released. All the doctors have to sign off on it, Ray goes over the medications with the nurses, etc. So, it will be later on today; most likely they will be home sometime early evening.

Ray said that everyone who gets discharged from the 6th floor gets a parade! Not sure exactly what that will entail, but I'm absolutely positive Mya is going to love it! Will give the details after they get home and tell me about it.

Also wanted to say happy birthday to my second child Gia. She is 2 months old today! How the time does fly! :)

Will let you know how we are settling in! :)
