Good week, busy weekend ahead

We've gotten through Session 6, 7, & 8. Mya is doing well with the sessions. She doesn't like the being put to sleep part, but she is being so strong & brave. Thursday was an especially long day. Started at Dana Farber with blood draw, talked to Dr. Chu to get prescription for new medication (part of drug cocktail), then off to Brigham's for radiation. Once awake, we went back to Dana Farber for administration of an IV drug (type of chemo, on the low end, but still chemo), then we got to go home. Unfortunately, we finished after 4:15pm, so we got caught in the exodus from Boston. Got home after 7pm, we left the house at 6:30am. Ugh is all I can say!

The doctors are happy that Mya is doing so well. She has started using the bathroom again during the day and is walking more & more. Her appetite is slowly coming back as well. They have given us the green light for going to Disney. So, I've set up a meeting with Make A Wish for this coming Monday. We will be looking to go as soon as Mya is done with her radiation sessions. We will work with them to set up airfare/hotel/car/everything.

Mya is really enjoying all the cards, stickers, and small gifts that people are sending to her. It really helps that she can look forward to seeing what's in the mailbox every afternoon. We've even gotten purple balloons with Mya's name on them! We are extremely thankful for everyone's outpouring of support.

Tomorrow, all of us will be attending the Spaghetti lunch/dinner at the Rollingsford Legion. We haven't been able to do many things as a family and I'm really looking forward to spending the day with my WHOLE family. Mya is excited, we've told her that there are lots of people that want to meet her. We are also looking forward to our Santa visit for this coming Sunday! We hope to see people & their children around 2pm!
