Got to couch, maybe bath tomorrow?

Yesterday, I was able to coax Mya out to the couch around 2:30pm. I carried her out to the living room. She struggled to get there. It almost seems like the change of position (lying down to sitting up) puts a strain on her head?!? She has also been complaining of dizziness which is a side effect of one of the drugs she is taking. We give her another drug to combat that. Anyways, she surfed the couch from 2:30 to 6:30pm. I was so happy to see it!! We talked & watched tv. When she started schooching down further & further, I told her it was time for bed. No arguments from her meant that she was ready to go back.

She had a quiet night so we did as well. Everyone slept in until 8 am! Ray & I got to catch up on our sleep. I definitely felt better for it. After I gave Mya her morning medications, I tried to coax her out to the couch again. No go. Tried for a little bit more, but she said she wanted to sleep.

I went to a friends house with Gia for an afternoon of crafting with good friends. Everyone oohed & ahhed over Gia! She is such a smiley, happy little girl! We stayed for quite a bit, but by 4pm, it was time to bring the baby home. I also wanted to get back to see Mya. Ray said he tried all day to get her out of bed, but no success. When I got settled, I went to see Mya. After a little bit of coaxing I was able to get her to the couch. She was there for a few hours. With her being in bed so much, I worry about her losing muscle tone & strength. Around 8pm, she was ready to go back to bed.

Ray & I are trying to understand why she doesn't want to get out of bed. It could be the pressure from the tumor or we think it is the drug combination we are giving her. Dr.Manley says that it could be the Thalomide, which is chemo drug. Unfortunately, it is hard to say. She is 4, so getting information is spotty at best.

A goal for tomorrow is to get her into a bath. I think if I get in with her, it will work. She won't want to do it, but we need to do it. I think it will make her feel good, we will see.

We want to thank The Salon @ 903 Central Avenue, in Dover, NH for having a Week of Giving. They sold raffle tickets & had prizes donated, all to raise money for our family. The kickoff to the week was last night & they have already raised almost $2,000!!! If you get the chance, please stop in to see them. The staff is extremely talented, they can make you beautiful! We are so blessed to have so many generous & caring people surrounding us! They truly lift us up and make our burden easier to bear.

Will post again tomorrow. Hoping to see Mya walk to the couch...??
