Well, it's been a busy week in the Bedard household! On Wednesday, I had our second child Gia. She arrived in short order with all her fingers and toes. I had my mom and two close friends there to cheer me on. (Honestly, it felt a little bit like a sporting event, with all the high 5's and cheering going on... :))

Wednesday night Ray and Mya were discharged from Boston Children's after completing the 5th round of chemo therapy. Mya had a rough time coming home, but hung in there.

On Thursday, I rested in the hospital and got to know Gia. She is quite alert for a newborn, but I remember Mya being the same way when she arrived. I can already tell that they are sisters! Gia has quite a bit of hair (dark) and her skin color is on the darker side as well. I believe that this child will definitely take after her father! Which is great, because Mya is the spitting image of her mommy.

On Friday morning, Gia was checked over by the pediatrician and given the green light to come home.

We got home around 3pm or so and unloaded all our stuff. Mya was so excited to see Gia! She had the biggest grin you ever saw, it was really sweet to see. Mya wants to share her toys and read books with her, she can't wait for Gia to get big enough to play with.

Hopefully, tonight won't have too many bumps in it and everyone will be able to get some sleep. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
