Pancakes & Spaghetti

Today has been a very full day in the Bedard house. Mya started the day with the request of pancakes... and syrup! Aye, aye, Miss Bedard! Had two bites, then got a little queasy. But later in the morning, she had a few more bites, so I view that as a success. She has been drinking more and more whole milk, so each and every one of those has 150 calories per 8 oz. Every single one of those calories counts!

For lunch, we have noodles and butter for Mya, traditional spaghetti for me. Mya ate some, then decided she was all done.

After lunch Grammy came over to visit and entertain Mya. She showed Grammy her room (that's a big mess! per Mya to Grammy. Grammy understands that the room is in transition) and they played some games and watched a little TV.

Mya was getting tired so Grammy decided to head home. After Grammy left, I got a call from Dana Farber. Mya is STILL neutropenic. Her WBC is at 1,700, her platlets are at 98K, and her hemoglobin is at 10. ANC is at 459. To be non-neutropenic, her ANC needs to be 500 or higher.

So, the plan for tomorrow is to go to Dana Farber for a check-up and to speak to the Oncology team. We will also have a follow up appointment with Ophthamology for Mya's eye to check on her progress with her treatment.

As of right now, it is anyone's guess on when Mya will be ready for Round 4. We don't want to rush anything, but the more time that goes by between treatments, the more nervous we get. Hoping Oncology will have some input and insight tomorrow when we meet with them.
