Mya update

Well, as of today, Mya has completed the third round of chemotherapy. We will be discharged today and will hopefully be home for a few weeks before starting Round 4.

Mya's eye continues to heal. We have to put a salve on it every two hours to keep it moisturized. We also have to put a patch on her good eye for two hours to begin training her other eye to focus and work again after being closed for so long. Mya gets frustrated with it and says "she can't see", but I tell her that we just need to practice helping her eye to see and that it will get better.

No roommate last night, so both of us are pretty rested for today. Ray is working at the house with Rusty to try to finish installing the floor in the guest room. Once I have a rough estimate on when we are getting out today, I'll give him a call to come and get us. Hopefully the snow won't be too bad!

For the next week, Mya will be at near zero for her blood counts, so visitors will have to be kept to a minimum. However, once her counts are good, we might make a small trip or two out of the house. Will write again soon!
