What will the doctors tell us?

posted Jul 31, 2013, 8:19 AM by FightingFor Mya

Last night I was thinking about our long journey and the twists and turns that we have experienced on our difficult road. From the time I heard that shocking sentence (Your daughter has a brain tumor, you need to get her to Boston Children's tonight) to today with us preparing to go to Boston tomorrow to hear the full report on the status of Mya's brain tumor; it's been quite an epic tale.

While I don't pretend to know God's plan or understand why the universe works the way it does; I can only pray that our daughter's tough journey is over and that we will hear the wonderful result that the tumor is dead and/or scar tissue and that they will want to watch it only. No additional surgery needed, no more toxic medications, no radiation needed.

So, with a hopeful heart, I will send out only positive thoughts about the big day tomorrow. And to all our supporters out there (family, friends, co-workers, even any strangers who happen across Mya's website), please join us in our wish that Mya's struggle with cancer will be over as of tomorrow. Let us all hope that we can put this time behind us and go on to other riding a little girl's bike....picking only the prettiest flowers....playing at the beach....flying a kite....playing with balloons...going trick or treating....singing songs....reading bedtime stories....and giggles, lots and lots of them.
